Potential career switch to Finance?

Post Body

Hi,

I(29M) want to make a potential career switch into finance and am looking for guidance. I have a BS in Computer Science with a Business Administration minor, I took a few intro and intermediate level accounting and finance classes for my minor. I have 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer and have been looking for a job after being laidoff in May last year. I have only ever worked remote jobs because I have a disability that makes commuting to on-site and hybrid jobs basically an impossibility. I want to apply to both finance and development remote jobs just so I can broaden my scope and be able to apply to a larger number of jobs as opposed to applying for JUST software development remote positions. Does my academic and professional background sound like an acceptable foundation for an entry-level position in Finance? What kind of Finance jobs should I be targeting considering my current position?

What do you guys think about this? Thanks for any input.
