Hey! I am a 19 y old aspiring to delve into the world of finance and I’ve taken a gap year (university starts this fall). I have done courses on finance/economics/business related models and currently am doing a business and financial modelling specialisation on Coursera. I have touched upon concepts like NPV, CAPM, FCF/DCF and Valuation on an intermediate level via a summer school program and have written a couple of research papers as well. I can use excel proficiently but have been out of practice for half a year. People around me have highly praised a career in investment banking however I am not sure yet and wanted to explore options still. So I needed guidance on what can I do in this period which can help me skill up and prove vital for a career in finance or more specifically investment banking?
Appreciate the help this the first time I’m posting here 😅!!
