Post Body
Context: I'm an Indian Chartered Accountant moving to UK in January 2024 to study Masters in Banking and Finance from the Queen Mary University of London. It's a one year course.
I've got 2.5 years of experience in running an Accounting Practice in India. I'm good with Numbers, Sales, Financial Modelling, MS Excel and Written Communication.
I wanna break into Investment Banking (mainly M&A - buy or sell side, IPOs or Debt Snydication) or Private Equity.
I have the following questions:
- What should I do to break in?
- How to land internships?
- How to convert those internships into a full time job?
- How much can I make in a full time job? Fixed and variable both?
- Should I clear CFA (L1 for now)? Will it help?
Thanks in Advance 🙏
