Currently, I work for the start-up where things were not going well lately. I survived 2 layoffs, but I can see that some roles are still being eliminated, and I have a feeling that 3rd RIF is on the way. Despite most of the positions eliminated were engineering and product related, other departments had people let go too, like my manager (Director of Finance) after the 2nd RIF.
Right now, I am interviewing for other roles and wonder if the constant anxiety about job security is a valid reason to leave the company and look for other opportunities? I.e. when asked "why I am leaving my current company after only 1.5 years?". Will it raise red flag or is it something understandable?
