I would like to get some insight from people in IB/PE. Do I need to understand options and hedging strategies or should I much rather focus on accounting? Or what would you say is mostly important? I understand what IBs do but I haven’t worked in a IB role yet so for all I know, websites and forums could make certain stuff up, I mean that could happen here too, but I still wanted to ask the question. Two websites mentioned that it’s important to know all securities related rules/strategies. Thank you!
