Hello all, I've been in finance (back and forth between service/sales) for the last 5 years. I've already got my sales licensure and about 2 years of sales experience, however for the last year and a half I've been doing relationship management with institutional Crypto clients. Now on a personal level I've been trading options, leveraged ETFs and all sorts of shit for 7 years now so I have an extraordinary understanding of markets, trading, TA, and much else. However, that isn't really a resume pusher since its been personal and not through a firm.
I'm graduating with my MBA in 1 month. In my department there is 0 chance of seeing significant pay increases and quite frankly I feel painfully underutilized. Any additional work does -not- lead to pay bumps, promotions, or damn near anything else. Making roughly $86k total and its a pretty easy job (WFH 40 hours a week), but I am unsatisfied with my place.
So a question for the group, if you could double your salary but it required 4x the effort, would you do it? The swap from service to sales will be a significant bolster on my workload, but the opportunity would be much higher as well. Current job is WFH - sales job would be WFH as well.
