Problem with a cutscene.

So i just bought the game on steam the other day and finally got around to playing it. But im stuck at the part in chapter 1 where jessie and cloud are at the elevator and jessie asks cloud if he knows tifa. Then as its about to show clouds memory of her, the game bugs out and the camera is just zoomed in on clouds face and nothing happens. I tried skipping the cutscene but it just sends me to a loading screen im stuck on forever. Is there any way to fix this?
