I'm proud to say that after many, many years, I finally finished the original FF7. I played it on Switch so the 3x button helped a ton. Followed a guide, defeated the bonus bosses, had a great time all told. (though defeating the bonus bosses made me way too overpowered for the final fights)

I got Crisis Core Reunion (Switch) on sale this month, and I did play that many years ago but I remember very little, so I'm looking forward to that.

But before that, I decided to pick up the Advent Children blu-ray, since the version I had back in the mid 2000s was probably a bootleg with bad subtitles and heavy editing.

The AC blu-ray includes Reminiscence of Final Fantasy VII which appears to be a recap of the original game, so I skipped that for now. I skipped Reminiscence of Final Fantasy VII Compilation too, since it started showing Crisis Core stuff and I want to replay that.

Legacy of FF7 was fascinating, however. A quick little segment discussing the popularity of FF7 and how it led into Advent Children being wildly successful for a direct-to-DVD movie. They mentioned how in the beginning, an incomplete version was aired at a film festival, and I'm genuinely wondering if the bootleg, "heavily edited" version I had in high school was actually that version of the film.

And then there's On The Way To A Smile: Episode - Denzel, which is a half-hour anime story about Denzel during and after the events of the game, which I didn't expect to enjoy as much as I did (plus Johnny's in it).

So I'm about to watch Advent Children Complete for the first time in many, many years, and then I plan on going straight into Crisis Core Reunion.

Would y'all recommend tracking down anything else? Is there some sort of manga or something? Kids Are Alright? And is the Denzel thing all there is to On The Way To A Smile?
