Is it worth it to watch cutscenes of the original?

Basically what the title says I'm currently playing the remake and I'm really loving it, but it's also making me wish that I played the original so I could appreciate and notice the difference in the story and characters. I don't really want to play through the entire original though, so I was thinking about just watching all the cutscenes. Do you guys think it's worth it? Or would it spoil the remake?
