So, from the other popular post about FFX recently I've only just learned that Dream Zanrakand is a real place that is being summoned constantly, and while I knew it was a summoned city, I imagined it being a dreamscape instead like an extension of the Farplane or something. But... If it's real then how does it work?

Has it just been moving on with new people etc these past 1000 years? Or is there some kind of loop? Tidus' mother shows up at the Farplane which suggests she was a real person, so are the fayth just summoning themselves into a continuous limbo where nobody ages or something crazy? Like how does time work in that place?
