[FF6] Is Sabin really OP early game with his blitz skills?

I'm still early in the game. Recently warded of Kefka's attack and Terra flew away after reacting with the Narshe Esper.

I noticed that most encounters I get with Sabin can be easily killed with Fire Dance. His suplex can also be very powerful against some foes. Other party members can't seem to dish out as much damage as him. I singlehandedly used him to destroy the enemies that attacked Narshe (but had to switch to a fuller party to beat Kefka). Will the magic users be able to catch up to him soon enough?
