Post Body

A few days ago I made a post about playing every mainline FF game as I had already tried out VII, VIII, X, XV, and XVI. Just finished pixel remasters for I, II, and III.

FFI- The game was actually really enjoyable! It was very straightforward but the simplicity for gameplay and travel were really fun! I really don't have many complaints. The twist at the end was actually pretty great for a game made so long ago.

FFII- I didn't mind this game too much. I do feel as if the leveling system was a bit of a pain but it was not bad at all. I pretty much leveled up smoothly and enjoyed the game until the final boss where I wanted to die with how annoying the fight was. But the game was great and the fact that I was scratching my nose and didnt turn my character in time and run into a wall which turned out to be the secret pathway to Masamune was an incredible experience. I didn't get the blood sword so I did struggle more since I refuse to use guides (until the emperor) but the game was a great time for me.

FFIII- I liked the growth of the world and the increase in hidden areas. I really liked gaining new jobs with each crystal. I honestly had an amazing time in the beginning and fighting the summons were really fun. BUT this game felt really grindy. Even with 4x exp I was stuck grinding like crazy to beat Xande alone. I hated how some bosses felt like you had to change your jobs to beat them. I know you can do it without but I could not beat Garuda without 4 dragoons lmao. Xande had me wanting to die and I remember seeing a video where people said the final boss was the worst one so I grinded like crazy (goddamn Xande clones) and then I started whooping the dark crystals until I got to the hardest boss in the game...... the fucking two-headed dragon. God this boss was horrid and I was stressed cause I knew I was screwed for the final boss. Finally after a grueling fight I beat the dragon and prepared myself for the cloud of darkness and boom I steamrolled through the fight with literally no issues. Love-Hate relationship with this damn game.

Starting FFIV tonight so lets see how it goes :)
