My friend is a training manager at a midsized tech company in Seattle that developes RFID technology. She is wanting to hire me as a contract worker to film and edit their internal training videos. I graduated from film school last year and have been working as a freelance grip for the past year. My current rate for grip work is between $200-350 a day. She wants to pay me hourly for recording (2-3x a week) and then per video for edit (from home.) All equipment except editing computer will be provided. Any suggestions for what I should charge? The videos will be between 10-15 minutes, with pretty simple edits and graphics.
