which is sharper - super 35mm film or digital?

Hello, i recently read, that s35mm roughly has the same resolution as 4k digital, when in my eyes digital movies, that are mostly shot and shown in the cinemas in 2k seem much sharper than a s35mm projection or a 2k scanned s35mm film. so why does anyone seem to think, analog is sharper than digital?
