Post Body

I'm watching The Last Castle (2001) and there is something that i'm not sure why it's happening. Every time someone enters a room, and James Gandolfini has his back to them (which is almost every time), they address him and he doesn't respond until they address him a second time. This is never discussed in the film or referenced. I cannot figure out if it is a personal acting choice or a decision in the story telling that i'm not understanding. Anyone have any insight into this? Thanks.
