So Bear in the Big Blue House came out on Disney and it unlocked kind of a thought I had when I watched it as a kid: how is everyone related? You’ve got Bear that seems to be the adult. Ojo, who is also a bear but doesn’t act like Bear’s kid (doesn’t call him dad, for instance), so that’s out. Then there’s Pip and Pop who are definitely related to each other, but they are otters. Then there’s Treelo the lemur and Tutter the mouse, who aren’t related to anyone. I don’t think parents or “going home” is ever mentioned so I think everyone has a room in the house but I could be wrong.

My thought: everyone is adopted by Bear, since he’s the only adult besides the moon and Shadow.
