Hey FilmClubPh,
I just watched Anora, and I’m still thinking about it. The film’s take on identity and redemption is so powerful, and the visuals are absolutely breathtaking. There’s this one scene where Anora confronts her past in the old family home, and it’s just raw and emotional in the best way.
I also have to mention her scenes with Igor—wow. Their dynamic was really something special. Igor’s character had this quiet strength that balanced Anora perfectly. I loved how he challenged her but also gave her the space to figure things out on her own. Their moments together were definitely some of the most memorable in the film.
But what did you guys think? How did you interpret the ending? Was it a moment of closure, or did it leave you with more questions? I feel like there’s so much going on under the surface, and I’m curious to hear your thoughts on what the film was really saying about moving forward and discovering who we truly are.
Also, if there’s a specific scene or line that stuck with you, let’s talk about it! Can’t wait to hear what everyone thinks.

Ani, convinced for years that all relationships with men are purely transactional and that she’s not worthy of real love, finds hope and healing in Igor, the one person who sees and values her for who she truly is.
