Hello. I would like to follow a rabbit hole from a comment in YouTube that says the Philippines had a debt to pay Vietnam.
I was reading and watching stuff about the Vietnamese boat people and the comment said the proxy war in between North and South Vietnam had the support of the Magsaysay administration. This apparently involved support for covert activities and fielding ground troops against the VietCong.
I would like to know about this issue because from what I know the Philiipines only supported the Korean War (Battle of Yultong) and not the Vietnam War due to the increase of communist insurgents in the Philippines.
