Different feeling of boots in artistic inline skating and "normal" inline skating
Post Body

Hi everyone!

I'm a beginner figure skater (working on two and one foot spins, starting to venture into jumps) and as the rink is now closed, we are moving our training outside and work with artistic inlines. It's super fun and I love it (although it feels way more difficult than on ice and the attempt of doing a two foot spin resulted in a bruised tailbone lmao).

I had the idea to go inline skating (just skating a bit along the fields) again after work to unwind and relax, and, as the artistic inlines really don't seem to be made for this (breaking is hard with no stoppers), I got my old inlines - the ones I had as a teen about 10 years ago. They are resizable inlines - the model is called HY Skate Xtrend 900 and is marketed as a kids skate up to a weight of 100 kg.

I was honestly a bit shocked - are they meant to be this soft? It might be just me feeling weird coming from figure skates now (I use Ice Flys on inlines, had Overtures on ice but will most likely upgrade them as well) but I was genuinely confused.

Perhaps there are some other skaters around here that do both figure and "normal" inline skating and can share their experiences!

Edit: added the model.
