Help! Black tips on my fig branches?

Post Body

Why do these fig cuttings have blackened tips on their initial branches?

These are fig cuttings that successfully rooted using the sand propagation method. I transfered them to 1 gallon pots with potting soil since they all had healthy roots on them.

They have only been outdoors about a week and have stayed out of the sun for the most part.
