So I went to an arcade over the weekend, they happened to have Street Fighter 3rd Strike, Street Fighter Alpha 2, and Marvel vs. Capcom 2, all games I can call myself somewhat competent at. I understood the button layout and knew the inputs and stuff, but I couldn't get my specials to come out and I got absolutely destroyed in all of them. The only thing I can think of that was different was the sticks. They feel so stiff and uncomfortable compared to, say, a Nintendo pro controller. So can someone explain why so many pro players prefer sticks, when they feel so horrible to use?
