How do you remember all of the moves that a character has?

Hey all!

So this is the first fighting game that I have ever played. That being Mortal Kombat One. I am a blind player, and no other fighting game in my opinion has been comfortably accessible enough to really give a fair shake, except this one.

I have been having an absolute blast doing the story mode and tower modes, but I am struggling a bit to understand each characters moveset.

When you decide you want to main a character, do you just have to memorize every single combo they have available to them in the moveset option?

That's sort of the part I'm finding difficult. I know that sometimes characters follow a similar formula, where the first move with always be X, then after that it will likely be X, X, or X, Y, and so on. SO I have noticed that trend for sure, but I am finding it difficult to memorize so many different moves. DO you guys have any advice for this? Is it just simply a case of just having to get that memorization through experience?

I know once I decide on a character that I want to focus on or main things will get better since I could focus on just one set of moves for that particular character, but man, each characters just in their basic attacks alone seems to have 20 unique combinations, so this is a little rough for me haha.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated <3
