Anyone ever use Toluene?

I stumbled on this chemical while researching how gasoline is produced. From what I gather it was used with great success in the 80s on the turbo F1 cars. It seems to work as a great anti-knock agent and octane booster. Thinking about mixing some in. I have an accessport, is there a way to compare metrics with it?
