Importing parts from UK

Hi all, really hoping someone can help me because i am so confused.

I recently ordered Stage 2 from pumaspeed.co.uk for my ST. It cost me around $2200 (AUD), and i thought that was the end of the story (i'm not a finance guru).

But my friend who did the same thing awhile ago is telling me there's roughly a 30% tax ill pay when it reaches Australian Customs.

I am really confused because every piece of information i find leads me to only needing to pay duty and 10% GST.

Has anyone else been in this same situation ordering from UK to AUS and can help me out?
