how do you handle change in SOW
Post Body

I have a ticket I accepted a couple weeks ago and it's set for 1st thing tomorrow. The original ticket said 5 hrs on site when I accepted their hourly rate. I reviewed the scope of work with the PM and 4 to 5 hrs on site was my estimate. Monday I got a msg, only 2 hrs on site. This morning I got another saying "good news you'll be done in under 45 min" I've gone from a ticket that paid $250 to a loss that now just covers gas, parking and coffee. How do you react to a change like this? It seems that I don''t have any choice but to bend. There's no option to counter and buyer is silent. NEVER accept a job unless it's blended pay and covers minimums is the lesson I learned today but right now I feel like the rubber glove after a prostate exam.
