I have done work for STG & Avnet in the past and I did a few jobs after they were bought by TechData. AVT is their latest incarnation and I've completed very few new tickets. Jobs offered around Atlanta are now very very low. Check in/out used to be quick and fun but now is rough and almost rude. Before FN takes the cut, $28 flat for a printer repair? $35 for a HDD swap and $38 for a desktop mobo swap, $45 for a server AND I need to pick up and return parts on my time. $28/hr for overnight hotel refreshes. They used to approve payments in a 1 or maybe 2 days but now it can be more than a full week. Are other techs seeing the same thing in their area? What are your experiences with their scheduling / dispatch crew? since they became AVT? My good will with what used to be an excellent team is drying up fast and I'm wondering if it's time to walk away and add them to the pivital/essintal/smartasssouce pile of buyers who are not worth the time and trouble. Not all money is good money.
