Question about how Total Earnings work as a sub sub contractor?
Post Body

Hi field nation Reddit.

It’s my 3rd week on the app under a service company? I think.

Never heard of the app until I started this specific one month contract job for working a high severity cabling job at a Data Center. I’ve had 4 years of data center work in the past and I thought I could pick up another full time job on the side.

So my service company is paying me 20/hr for the job as W4 ( not 1099) full time under a different company on Field nation. My field nation is still my own profile and information , except I have the SC logo (service company).

My main concern is that on my total earnings displays that I made β€œ$8000”. It seems it’s β€œ4000” per week. Does this mean that I earned that or my service company? I made nowhere near close to that and my big concern is will I get taxed as if I actually earned $8k in two weeks?

Thank you for reading this post. I’m interested in doing field nation as a side hustle after my 1 month contract ends.
