Hazardous waste and holding the bag
Post Body

I recently have been replacing rack mount UPS units. I was expecting shipping labels to return the old APC2200VA units. I have 22 units stacked in the DC waiting for instructions. Today the buyer tells me that the units are my responsibility and that I need to dispose of them properly. I was told that I need to get them out of the DC by EOB tomorrow. "the other guy put them in the dumpster" The WO has been closed and pay queued.

Because of the SLA batteries, I can't just put these in the trash and a recycling shop charges fees because of the lead. Not to mention that this is a heavy pallet full of crap. DO I have any options here? I'm thinking I should walk away until they issue a new WO and prepay transport and disposal fees a shut the front door fee because they've irritated me
