Read the work order. It emphasizes WHITE blank faceplates to be installed. PM calls to talk to me about it. I ask, "WHITE blank faceplates?". PM confirms. I typically don't carry blanks. No problem, I'll get them. Go to site, install them. Have LCON verify. Take pictures. Upload pictures. Check out with PM. Note: I DID notice the other plates were a slightly different color. All I have are white. Closest big box is 20 miles away. LCON said nothing. PM said nothing. Remember, WHITE was emphasized. Closeout ticket.

5 days later, PM moves ticket to incomplete and calls me.

PM: Did you notice the colors were different?

ME: Yes.

PM: Was white all you had?

ME: Yes. Work order emphasized WHITE, and you reiterated WHITE.

PM: OH, yeah, it DOES say that. Well, what would you charge to go back?

ME: Same as the first time. Not running a charity.

PM: OH, really? Well...

As nitpicking as they get with us sometimes, it's nice to be able to do it right back to them.
