Fidelity question from a complete noob
Post Body
So I'm trying to invest in the S&P500. I opened an eft account and linked my bank account. It took several days but it's finally linked and I transferred some money to my fidelity account.
When I go to the Trade section, I search SPX and it shows up but it doesn't give me an option to buy. When I click "Trade options" it says "You do not have an account available for trading"
On the contrary, if I go to TSLA, it gives me an option to buy. Why is it allowing me to buy tesla stock but not SPX?
