Post Body

I have been reading two fictions and found there are three common ways to write repetitive words, but I have no idea when to use which one. For me, I can feel the tones of the first and second example have a sense of โ€œurgencyโ€. The third example is just a simple narrative.

Examples:

  1. John had backstabbed her, had contrived plans to ruin her.
  2. John had backstabbed her; had contrived plans to ruin her.
  3. John had backstabbed her and contrived plans to ruin her.
