Possible Help with Crutches?

Hello fellow fibro peep friends of reddit!

I'm currently in a quandry of sorts and need some advice from those that understand. As of late my fibro as gotten a bit worse (and I'm sure it will get even worse with winter coming), and I've been dealing with a knee injury from last December. The short version is that I tore my meniscus and it decided to push it's way out the side of my knee (all because I bent over to put on my pants....go team! lol) and still hasn't healed properly. I've been on crutches since then and am using some old ones that need to now be replaced. Docs refuse to do surgery on my knee and I don't have the insurance/funds to do physical therapy at the moment, nor does anyone I know have any good advice about crutches and what kind to move to. I've been using a basic crutch from urgent care a couple years ago and have the opportunity to move to something more ergonomic or even a forearm crutch but it will likely be long term as I can tell my other knee is starting to go too. My PCP originally suggested a rollator but I can't use that in my apartment as it's too big.

I should also note that my fibro/arthritis is in my joints and mostly my back and shoulders and kind of in my hands (mostly only when it gets really cold) but usually my hands are ok and wrists are good so far.
