This is in an offshoot question after reading the Body Pillow discussion found here - https://www.reddit.com/r/Fibromyalgia/comments/f6tiqi/whoever_suggested_a_pregnancy_body_pillow_you_are/

For those of you who use body pillows and pregnancy pillows - were these more for helping you fall asleep or did they help with back pain as well? I'm on meds to combat my insomnia, so most of the time, that's not a problem (until I hit my next tolerance level), but I have a body pillow I sleep with every night and I wake up every morning with the absolutely worst back spasms in my thoracic vertebrae area - middle back, all behind my lungs, painful enough it makes it hard to breathe. Trying to sit up and stand to go let the dog out every morning, leaves me fairly breathless and in a great deal of pain. As the day goes on, the spasms will lessen, but no matter which muscle relaxers I take, what pain meds I take, epsom salt soaks, heating pad, etc, I no longer have the range of movement I used to have and the pain & tightness sticks with me all day.

I know muscle spasms are supposed to be common with fibromyalgia, but I don't know with the place and intensity I have this particular back spasm, if it happens to anyone else that also suffers from fibro?
