Overly in tune to pain
Post Body

Most days my pain sits at a 3. During flares it can jump to a 6 with quick points of 8. I usually manage it with just Motrin and nightly gabapentin.

That said, I've noticed I am more aware of non fibro pain. A recent example is I have a cyst on my ovary. The pain was so bad they thought it was my appendix. When they sent me to the hospital they said it was a small cyst and it shouldn't be that painful. They gave me morphine in the hospital which actually got rid of the pain for a few hours which was nice but they sent me home with 4 tramadol thinking it would be over soon. It's not but I'm dealing like usual.

I always feel like I'm overreacting because I notice these changes sooner. I let things go on for a long time before seeing someone because I don't trust it's actually an issue versus me just being overly aware of my body.

Do any of you notice that average pain seems to feel worse? Do you notice changes in your body sooner than most? How do you decide when it's a good time to go to the doctor?
