Has anyone refused Lupron?

Post Body

I have a fairly large pedunculated fibroid that seems to be having a growth spurt. I’ve had it for years and really have never had any symptoms, but now have a pretty bloated lower abdomen because of it. I have no bleeding or pain issues, and never have. One of the reasons I haven’t contemplated surgery thus far, is that I absolutely will not take any drug that will affect my hormones or cause a temporary state of menopause. Has anyone with a large fibroid ever refused Lupron and still been able to get surgery?

Comments

I took the lupron, and it didn't work. I know somebody else who did, and it worked. She had a kid afterwards. Whatever you do comes with risk.
