Firstly, I realize that actual "shrinking" of fibroids may be a sensitive and controversial topic. There's a lot of snake oil out there and debates about whether or not it is actually possible to shrink them. I apologize now if this topic is triggering to anyone!
On to my question: a functional medicine doctor once told me that it is a much better use of your time to just get surgery if your fibroids have grown too big. Before I got a myomectomy in 2017, my biggest fibroids were 33cm and 100cm in volume. Shrinking them was not worth the pursuit.
Unfortunately, they've grown back and my 2 biggest are now 12cm and 8cm (cubic). I know it's possible to stop the growth but at this size, is it possible to shrink them? And does that depend on whether or not the fibroid has partially/wholly calcified?
