Hi all, I have recently joined the 500L owners club and I’m loving my red legend (Giorgio) but I’m unsure on a couple of things that maybe you lovely people could help me with? For context, it’s a diesel, manual and I’m based in the UK:
How do I turn my car on so the triangle warning light doesn’t light up to say the car is cold? My previous experience of diesels is that you do two clicks on the ignition and wait for the glow plug light to go off, Giorgio doesn’t do this, and if I drive it so that my engine temp has come up to middle of the gauge, turn off and turn on again, the warning light goes off.
What combination of actions triggers the automatic stop start? I’ve seen it work when I’ve stalled it once, but I don’t think stalling my car every time I come to a junction is the best thing for the engine?
Any help greatly appreciated!
