Hi. I've been lurking on these subreddits for a bit now, toying with the idea of becoming a content creator. I'd appreciate any thoughts from more experienced creators...

I'm 45 years old. I currently work as a pro Dom. Been doing in person sessions for about 20 years. Prior to that I dabbled in making custom fetish flicks. I had a little Southern Charms site but this was a WHILE ago... My ex hubby and I had a Sony handicam. We filmed little movies by request then mailed off the vhs or hi8 tape to the buyer.

I'm trying to learn how to do this and wow...it seems like there's so much more to it now. Also it seems like there's a bit of marketing /self promotion involved and verification / reviews can really make or break ya. I get good reviews for Dom sessions but I know that stuff easy. What I'm worried about is being new to this and the whole learning curve and putting out good content. How long did it take to really get the whole filming editing thing down? How much time is really involved in putting out an A product that someone will be super happy with? Do you eventually build up a regular clientele with this (is that the goal?) or are there so many options out there that regulars aren't so much a thing?

Also, I'm 45. I get it there's someone for everyone. I'm asking about this because it seems like there are so many people doing this now!

Also, do most sellers have an Onlyfans page or do their own sites? I have no idea how to do either but I could figure it out. It just seems like there's a lot to this and I'm trying to decide if it's a good thing for me to focus on and make the initial investment to get everything I'd need to get started.

I definitely like the idea of being able to do this from home since I currently commute 4 hours to a major city, plus rent a place to stay and work out of when here. I bought a house in a small town and while I love living in my dream house unfortunately there's not the population or level of interest in dominatrix sessions like there is in the city... Plus I enjoyed making vids back 20 some years ago. It was fun. It just seemed soooooo much easier though then! 🤣
