First it was my aunts who were thrilled I had lost weight, spent far too long asking how I did it, and then topped it off with "it would be great if you lost some more" like thanks, my entire change of lifestyle was for me to gain your approval.
Then it was an otherwise progressive friend (and that fact really hurt) who said "good girl" (FUCK. YOU.) because I waxed my legs for the first time in a couple of years for a party. Saying I should "do it for myself" while unsubtly implying I need to definitely do it is fucking sexist and I'm ashamed of you. Backpedaling from "I wanted to remind you that guys groom themselves for ladies" by pretending you believe this is an actual choice you support is not going to change my mind about my grooming habits or desires. "Don't you like seeing how good you look in a short dress and smooth legs?" NO I DON'T GEETA THAT IS YOU AND NOT ME. I DON'T GIVE A FLYING GODDAMN FUCK ABOUT WEARING A SHORT DRESS WITH HAIRY LEGS.
I'm really way too angry about this. Does anyone know a quick way to grow the hair on my legs because I want to be hairy as a Sasquatch the next time I see her.
