The Aziz Ansari story didn't upset me. The reaction to it has.
Post Body

There's a post on r/television that makes me want to set things on fire. Some woman has decided that blatant disregard for someone's stated discomfort and reluctance simply means you aren't a mind reader. Because the only responsibility in a sexual encounter lies with the person who might want to say no, apparently. I couldn't finish the article and I couldn't read more than two comments before I started feeling like throwing up.

I'm enraged. I barely have the words to express how enraged I am at these victim blaming apologists who apparently cannot wrap their sociopathic minds around the idea of consent or responsibility.

I'm so very glad I have my boyfriend right now because if I were dating in this world I wouldn't trust a single man I met. (Part of me now wants to wax lyrical about my boyfriend. Maybe in the comments.)
