A group of male coworkers started taking shots at the womens group we have at work. 'We should start a mens group' 'I don't get invited to any of the womens groups events' 'We need an anglo saxon mens meeting' and I responded 'Yea leadership has that meeting everyday.' Whole groups jaw dropped. I started to sweat a little because it is incredibly dangerous to call out the discrimination and sexism at a place that is run by white men. I actually called my mother to ask her if I had done the right thing: 'Fuck em....You always stand up for other women. I'm proud of you honey' I was so glad to hear that from her and also from my boyfriend. There might be repercussions but it was the right thing to do.
