hey so i’m a 20yr old guy and my girlfriend and i have been together for nearly 5 years, i never really thought id have to come to this but in my country violence against women is rising very rapidly and im just really worried about my partner when she’s out alone and want to get her something that she can use to protect herself? i’m just really scared for her and want to help in any way i can thanks so much :)

EDIT i feel like there’s been a lot of confusion as to my intentions here, i’m a trans man and im only posting this in hopes of more information on what is available to get as self defence to then ask my partner if that is something she’d be comfortable using and if it is legal where i live. I did grow up a woman but i am on HRT and don’t look like one at all so im not in as much danger of being a victim of male violence as women anymore, i also understand this is a conversation that should absolutely be lead by women and women only! a lot of laws being passed against women do effect me directly also however i feel as a trans man it is not my place to be apart of that conversation. this posts intention wasn’t starting a political discussion at all just searching for resources.
