I've seen it's a common thing for submissives to write journals for their dominants, but do any dommes share their written thoughts with their submissives instead?
I've been considering it recently because writing allows me to explore topics in a significantly more verbose way, which I wouldn't necessarily do verbally (manners and it's easier to be more self-reflective while writing). As opposed to a conversation where the other person is formulating their thoughts while you're talking and waiting to jump in to respond, the focus in text is solely on your own words and ideas which I find to be highly appealing. With the submissive intently focusing on and absorbing what the domme has written, hanging on to her every word without being distracted to respond, I feel like it could be a form of worship. While conversations are mutually enjoyable, it can be easy for people to get more caught up in voicing their ideas rather than fully and intently listening to the other person.
Does anyone happen to use this in their relationship regularly? If so, do you think it leads to better understanding? I feel like a good amount of submissives don't get as good of an understanding of their dommes' desires and viewpoint, so it may be a helpful tool.
