dating apps: subtlety or directness

Post Body

hello! i have seen this discussion come up quite a few times, and i figured it would be nice to hear some new perspectives from people about this! a few days ago, i started using dating apps like bumble, hinge and feeld, which is something iā€™ve never done before. iā€™m a younger sub guy, for the record.

i think i have an okay profile on each one, but i very openly advertise what iā€™m looking for: a long-term, female-led relationship. i donā€™t outright say femdom, but itā€™s implied.

dommes, what do you actually prefer? do you like upfront honesty like that, or does it make some of us out to be too focused on sex? i know youā€™re not a monolithic group that all think the same, but itā€™s still nice to hear opinions!

subs, what has worked for you? what has been your experience with either being subtle and using hints or being forthcoming out of the gate?

this is something thatā€™s quite important to me, and i really wanna get it out of the way and be direct; at the same time, i donā€™t wanna be too direct and seen as only caring about sex or just looking for fun. i want something more genuine than that.

just lookinā€™ for everyoneā€™s thoughts, thanks!

EDIT: it took me approximately two days before i got a match and date. i think it will go well, but that doesnā€™t matter. what matters is that there are women out there that are into this. boys, women: be yourself, act like a normal person, be upfront, and you will find someone. wish you luck and thanks a lot.

I also put what I am looking for in my bio, something like looking to connect with Femdoms and switch people looking to explore their dominanceā€ and it has been successful.

I also think itā€™s important to be person-focused as said above. I try to represent who I am as a whole on my profile, as much as can be done there at least, as well as what Iā€™m looking for.
