When do you expect exclusivity?

I am working on establishing an FLR with a strong D/s dynamic with someone I met on Fet. I am newer to the Domme role as I have had difficulty finding the right sub, but so far this one seems to fit so much of what I am looking for. I expect my sub to be exclusive, is it too much to expect that happens right away? I don’t want to push too hard and potentially scare him away:
