Is it odd to post on personals just looking for friends?

I am demi-sexual, and so I can’t just like jump into something like bdsm or femdom just like that, I have a very hard time doing anything with someone I don’t know on a personal level, so would it be weird to post personals just looking for friends hoping to get into something more? And maybe that’s what personals are for and I just get really bad luck, anyway apologies for the lack of grammar, typing tends to blend together sometime.
