A couple of times over the last few months, I’ve received a message from someone that included that they are “looking for a FLR”. Each time I’ve asked what that means to them, and the responses varied from silence, to “I don’t know”, to vague descriptions about strong women. As I asked for more explanation, it became clear to me that they’d each been using the term FLR when they really wanted a D/s dynamic in the bedroom only (with no power exchange in other aspects of the relationship).
I realize that different terms can have different meaning for different people, but I specifically see FLR as a way to indicate there is power exchange throughout the relationship (outside the bedroom). Is this a commonly understood difference?
Since this has come up a couple times recently I’m curious how different people are using and defining the term FLR. What does it mean to you?
