Denial Journal 3 - denial fuels improvement
Post Body

Why is self-improvement important and necessary? How does denial support that?

Self improvement is necessary in our dynamic. I see its importance in two ways.

  • The first is that I should work towards becoming the best version of myself. Some of our rules support that specifically - such as keeping my car clean. I am thankful that Sir is willing to design rules specifically towards helping me improve myself.

  • The second is that I should work towards becoming the best submissive for him. He works hard to be a good Dom for me, and he’s also a wonderful partner outside of the dynamic. The least I can do is strive to be a great submissive for him; meeting his wants and needs to the best of my ability. That means becoming better at things he enjoys. Specific examples of things we’re working on improving right now include my ability to deep throat, swallow cum, and take it harder in the ass. 🥵

How does denial support this? We are finding it supports it in many ways! First, denial is available as a consequence for when I don’t meet our agreed upon expectations. This is a powerful deterrent for me! Second, being denied serves as a powerful motivator! When I’m denied and desperate, I’m willing to push hard to make progress on my goals. Even more so if I know improvement is the only way to earn an orgasm.

Even though denial can be very difficult at times, I’m very thankful for the role it plays in helping me improve as a submissive!
