I have been having gradual and diffuse hairloss that has been happening since stoping BC 2.5 yes ago. I have high cortisol and other weird symptoms so thought hair loss was just TE. Did biospy in April that came back as TE but then different dermatologist had their path look at it and says AGA is consistent with my loss. I dont want to take more medicine and am terrified of side effects from Spironolactane… menstrual irregularities, fatigue ( I already have), depression, weight gain. However, my hair strands are so thin and I keep shedding. With diffuse loss is topical minoxidil where to start or do I need to start with Spironolactane to stop the loss first? Spironolactane doesn’t work for everyone right? What if I have to stop because of side effects? My testosterone is low but apparently my hair is sensitive to dht. Anyone else with low T do ok on Spironolactane?
I need to make some choices and I don’t know what the right move is for my hair loss. I kind of have no info from the dermatologist as they just are going off the biopsy.
Where do you suggest I start treatment and why?
Thanks
Cute dog!
