Post Body

Do you guys remember those scented strawberry shortcake dolls that were very popular in the 90’s and early 2000’s? That’s pretty much what pink sugar smells like to me! That sweet powder scent of a new baby doll along with some ambiguous sweet notes ( I can pick up cotton candy and maybe some caramelized sugar but... the rest of the notes are a mystery to the nose in this fragrance. Very difficult for me to pick apart on my skin ) that don’t become TOO heavy on me because of those powdery notes coming from that doll smell. I can pick up the faintest bit of licorice in it as I spray it on but the second the alcohol evaporates from my skin, it vanishes.

This is a fragrance I SWORE by in middle school ( thanks to its cameo in the movie The Devil Wears Prada! Haha) but have had in and out of my collection since late high school. I acquired it back into my collection this year after I started missing it again, and I’m really glad to have it back in my collection! I wouldn’t say it is necessarily a staple, but I do like wearing it around the house, but especially to bed! I find it very cozy and warning.

It’s a guilty pleasure of mine, but I honestly don’t consider it a fragrance I would like to wear out and about or anywhere special, but I wouldn’t mind reaching for it to go grocery shopping or running some errands!

The wear time on this is fantastic! I get about 9 hours of wear from this, with a great sillage until about hour 7 then it slowly becomes a close to the skin scent. When I wake up the next day I can still smell it on my skin. The sillage in the morning is faint, but after a full night of sleep most of my fragrances are long gone from the skin!

My fiancé finds this okay, he has mentioned he finds this the sweetest fragrance in my collection. He doesn’t find it amazing but he doesn’t think it is offensive either.

Overall, for the $20 price tag I paid for it, it’s worth it’s price!

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/5
